I always try to give every MMORPG a fair chance and I’m very open-minded when it comes to new releases, so yes I’ll also definitely give L3 a chance .
In 2 weeks I’m gonna start playing Aion for instance… pre-ordered it and am very excited !

First of all thanks for your comment.
1) Perhaps I was just unlucky or you very lucky, but I got attacked a lot of times! It’s so annoying when you try to quest and a player (which is like 10-30 levels higher than you) keeps attacking and killing you all the time. Of course this could happen on every PvP game but strangely I never experienced it in WoW.
2) L2 and WoW are both completely free worlds, you can go almost wherever you want whenever you want… so there’s no real difference. The world of WoW is a lot bigger though.

i am a l2 player, l2 isnt all killing when i played i hardly got attacked only in fighting zones and wow to me feels closed but in l2 i feel free to go anywere i want if its by walking or teleporting also well a buff is supposed to increase your stats and plus its not ment to be natural its a game

Hi i am a wow fan and play L2 because me IRL friend play it(when we go to an internet cafe and it rains).It nice graphix and all but i dont get a feel o accomplishment in L2 besides owning the ass of some1(got bored of that).Also i dont like ermm the Enviourment in L2 its too gloomy for a “happy” person for me.I love the rich environment of wow although it could have its graphix beter.I mean most of the tree in wow are like triangles and shit.I do lowve if blizzard could make the graphix more round* and stuff.As for PvP L2 is nice although i feel like i am in a cage since i can move realy freely.I am used to click the skills and move around like a retard in wow.In l2when i pvp no1 and no1 ever moves unless its a fag thats runing away.Also i hate the buffs in lineage 2 they are all like Dang OP.I mean its not natural for a caster to cast 5 spells withing 3 second i just dont feel that shit happening.

I both like the games although prefer Wow

Well, I’m totally agree to most of the points you stated.
I’m played both games, L2 for almost 2 years and WoW for half year.
But I just more prefer L2. Don’t know why?
Maybe because of the PvP system? The Castle Siege?
Or maybe the graphics?
Graphics is important to me since it affect the feeling when I playing.
The music doubled my exciting level when go into Tower of Insolence, xx, …..
In WoW, to be honest and forgiving, I always imagined that I controlling a cartoon.. I can’t stand that. Maybe it only for me.. I personally prefer PvP more than PvE..
And the Gracia is released, gonna play it again after spm.

But I gotta correct you about something . I DID mention the beautiful graphics in L2. May I quote myself on this : “gorgeous dark and realistic looking graphics (if you don’t count the female dwarf)”.
Even though I totally prefer WoW over L2, it’s true that the graphics in L2 are by far better and more realistic than in WoW… there’s no denying it .
Also I must admit that all my experiences are based on L2 Chronicles 4, so there might have been so many changes that L2 got a lot better by now… I don’t know.

Well…. guys I read your disscusion and i have to say i agree with 90% of the said… But there are things i disagree with and i am gonna state them here:
1) The grinding… well its true that L2 is a grinders paradise but there are alot of things that help you level without grind and as it was stated there are bosses, there is primeavil isle. And after Interlude there are alot of places where grinding isn’t so booring at all…
2) The PvP… Well L2 is famous for its balanced PvP where skill is the thing you need not the right class… coes in L2 pretty much every class is a PvP chalenger…. Its true that before The 4th Chronicle: Scions of Destiny the PvP was unbalanced and a guy with the right character could have killied almost anybody in the game… But if you can show me one server that is C4 and still uses the old PvP system i wll say “OK its unbalanced” but for now L2 is the PvP master.
3) Well… here I will discuss the thing nobody actually talked about here – graphics… and i think that L2 is “grinding” WoW in the ground with its graphics as L2 is one of the best Graphically designed MMORPG’s.

Well thats about it for now… everything else is discussed here and there is no need for me to repeat it.
P.S. I know i sound like an L2 fan and I am but what i have said here is not provoked by that its all true

It’s true that after a certain lvl difference the lower char won’t get any xp in L2 but like I said, I’m never using this method anyway .

Even though Dragon had subclasses, which are really great imo, the rest was genuine C4. But of course you’re right: an original server would most likely have been much more fun!

I leveled both of my L2 chars without any clan, so this is also possible in L2 (at least until lvl 61) . The other thing about the armors and passive skills is really great on the other hand… didn’t know that. About the reduced penalty for dying while at war: well, I hate PvP anyway so this is not really useful for me if I could choose a sole PvE server .

Don’t worry, I’m enjoying WoW on an official server: Doomhammer EU.
I like WoW that much that’s even worth paying for !
